DODSON from Bremen, GA on The Parting of Boyhood Friends To Editor of The News, I was so shocked to learn of the death of my boyhood friend, "Billie' Garner. How I remember the days that have gone by of our romping through the woods, bathing in the limpid waters of the Tallapoosa; how we attended school together. For many years we saw each other almost every day, and our associations were always of the very pleasantest and I shall ever cherish his memory and before he crossed the great river, I would have been so proud to again grasp his honest hand on this side. The wife, children, relatives and friends should find comfort and consolation in the fact that "Billie" was one of god's faithful servants, whose life was filled with good deeds and who saved himself by helping others. Each year as the son comes forth int he spring to warm into life and beauty the flowers in the Ai cemetery, no purer ray shall fall or sweeter flower bloom than that which shall rest and bloom on the grave of our departed boyhood friend.
