Cruse 71, retired employe of the Anniston Army Depot died Sunday at 7:15 a.m. at his home near Wedowee after a long illness. Mr. Cruse lived in Oxford about 20 years, before returning to Randolph County 10 years ago. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the VFW post in Wedowee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hepzibah Baptist Church, with the Rev. W. F. Miller and he Rev. James Butler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, under direction of Quattlebaum Funeral Home Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Lumas Blake, C. W. Key, C. Casper, Looney Thomas, Gene Wyatt and Herbert Ogle. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Sadie H. Cruse two daughters Mrs. James Young Fayetteville, N. C., and Mrs. Irie E. Colley, Oxford; two brothers. Albert Cruse, Griffith, Ga., and Oliver Cruse, Oxford; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Cheatwood, Heflin Rt. 1., Mrs. J. L. Wright Oxford; Mrs. Sarah Huckaby Columbia, S. C., and four grandchildren.
