F. Currie, 84, Heflin, Rt. 1. farmer, died yesterday morning at his home following a long illness, He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leona Currie; one daughter. Mrs. D. L. Collins of Heflin Rt. 1; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Hepzibah Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Revs. Lewis Morris, Gus Young and Emmett Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Cantrell Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers will be Royce Currie, II, Carl W. Ayers, Billy Royce Collins, John D. Collins, Gerald Morrison, and Percy Joe Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. H. A. Foster, Marvin Morris, Borman Thrash, Guy Cavender, Wilson Cavender, Arnold Baughn, Reuben Nelson, Hamilton Benefield, Lee Allen, Jim Morris, Dowery Tripplett. Comer Howle, Euell Lovelace, Curtis Rascoe and Doyle Currie. Mr. Currie was a member of Dallas Lodge No. 228, AF and AM, Masonic rites will be accorded. Additional Comments: Percy F. Currie was born Nov 11, 1869, in Cleburne County Alabama, he was the son of John W. Currie and Sarah Reynolds. He married Leona Little.
