Williamson of Heflin and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Black of this county. The deceased was born in this county on the 13th of November 1868, married June 10th 1890, and died Sept 2nd 1892. At the age of 11 years she gave her heart to God, realizing His power to save sinners and joined the M.E. Church South remaining an exemplary member until her death. The writer of this article has known Miss Emma at her home, in it she was dutiful to her parents, kind to her brothers and sisters and alike courteous to all, fulfilling her duties modestley yet promptly. As a pupil in school she was a model of docility, obedience and kindness. Later we have seen her as a teacher, faithful in the discharge of her duties patient and firm, yet gentle and kind. Her companionship always genial was shown more comspicuously in relation of wife and her natural spirit of gentleness was more prominently illustrated in the relation of mother, she was the mother of two children, one of whom preceeded her to the grave a few brief weeks, the other remaining with t he grief stricken father, to cheer and comfort his heart. In every relation of life Miss Emma, as she was familiarly called by her many friends, exemplifield the truth of religion that she professed. During an illness of two months she never murmured or complained and when at tlast the messenger of death came to her, she was in the possession of her mental faculties and was enabled to give to weeping loved ones around her the sweet assurance that all was well, to her the river of death was only a little brook after all, While husband, parents, loved ones and friends mourn her death, they have in their grief the condolence of a large number who knew and appreciated the virtues of the deceased. Yet there is left to them all the sweet assurance that their loss is her eternal gain, and that in the beautiful beyond where there is no more sorrow, death or separation with her little babe she awaits the glorious reunion of friends and loved ones, that shall know parting again no more forever. There is a world above, Where parting is unknown; A long eternity of love, Formed for the good alone; And faither beholds te dying here Translated to that glorious sphere.
