"This certifies that I have solemnized marriage between Mr. J. B. Vickers and 
Miss Artie S. Taylor according to law, in said County and State, on the 24 day 
of August 1899."

Marriage Affidavit
The State of Alabama, Cleburne County
Before me, A.A. Hurst, Judge of Probate in and for said County, in said State, 
personally came J.B. Vickers, who on oath to him by me administered, deposes, 
and says that he disires to procure a Marriage License for Mr. J.B. Vickers and 
Miss Artie S. Taylor; that the said J.B. Vickers is 30 years of age in November 
1899, and has no wife; that the said Artie S. Taylor is 25 years of age, and 
resides in Cleburne county, Alabama, and has no husband.
Sworn to and subscribed before me, this 21 day of August 1899.
