Hutchison ================================================================================ November 1998 Cain Family Cemetery This family cemetery is located some four miles East of Elba on the W.H. Devaughn farm near the J.P. McCall store on Highway 84 East, going toward New Brockton,Al. and on the South side of the Highway 84 near the Devaughn home. This cemetery has been destroyed. There are five graves in the cemetery, and are as follows: Note: on some other documents, the name Repress was thought to have been a mis-reading of the name Russell??? Born: Died: Cain, William B. 1805 1870 Cain, Mary Ann (Henry) 1796 1870 Cain, Daniel Green Mar 3, 1880 Jul 7, 1881 Respress, Mary No dates Repress, Martha No dates William B. and Mary Ann Cain were burned to death one cold winter night when their home was destroyed by fire. These were the great grandparents of D.E. Cain, Sr. Daniel Green Cain was the brother of Donnie Cain,Sr. The two Respress girls were my cousins. This cemetery was inventoried by D.E. Cain, Sr.
