Jr. ==================================================================== August 2001 Holley Family Cemetery This cemetery is located off of county road 474 between Kinston & the Holleys Store Community. It is nearly a half mile off of the paved road in the middle of a peanut field owned by Tommy Blackstock. Mr. Blackstock has had difficulties with persons damaging his crops in the past so visiting the site is discouraged. The cemetery is said to have been much larger at one time. The plantation of Hosea Holley, know as the White House, was near this cemetery. His brother Johns' plantation was also located near this cemetery, as was the plantation of Columbus Holley. There are believed to be many more graves here than are marked. Bob Holley is well versed on the Holley name and indicates that Columbus Holleys' grave is also in this cemetery, but is marked only by a broken blank marker and some stones. Coon, Lewis J.
