All but one of these people buried here died with the awesome disease, known as Small-Pox. This cemetery is located some 2 miles south-east of the Johnson Bridge which spans the Pea River near the Coffee-Dale County line. Some 2 miles north-west of Highway 51 going toward Rocky Head,Al. Turn left on a county road just beyond the Old Tabernacle Church, go north some 2 miles to the highest hill in that area and this the Prestwood Cemetery. This cemetery was located by D.E.Cain,Sr., through information given by Herod Willoughby of Ariton, Al.
