Written: December 29, 1854

Coffee County, Alabama Deed Book C, page 62, 29 December 1854:
	State of Alabama, Coffee County. Know all men by these presents that I 
Henry Taunton of Macon County, Georgia, for the following consideration to wit 
of one hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by Newsom Taunton have 
hereby bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell and 
convey unto the said Newsom Taunton his heirs and assigns the following 
described property to wit the South west quarter of the north east quarter of 
Section eighteen in Township five of Range twenty To have and to hold the said 
Land to his own use and behoof forever And I the said Henry Taunton do 
covenant with the said Newsom Taunton that the said premises free from all 
incumbrances that I have good right to convey the same and that I will warrant 
and defend the title hereby conveyed to the said Newsom Taunton his heirs and 
assigns against the Lawful claims of all persons whatever In testimony whereof 
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 29th day of December 1854.

	State of Alabama, Coffee County. I James Claxton, Probate Judge, 
hereby certify that Henry Taunton whose name is signed to the foregoing 
conveyance and who is known to me acknowledged before me on this day that 
being informed of the contents of said conveyance, he executed the same 
voluntarily on the day the same bears date. Given under my hand this the 30th 
day of December 1854. Signed: James Claxton, PJCC. Received in office December 
30th 1854 And Recorded March 27th 1855.
