Published in the Dothan Eagle on 5/29/2009 Additional Comments: In Loving Memory of Dewey Lee Richards By: Larry Lee Marler You were someone dear and close to my heart. Not only my Uncle you were a great friend and that in itself is a tremendous thing because friendship is the light that fills our heart. Heaven needed another angel, so God sent down an angel and gave you your angel wings. The angel said, "Take my hand and I will fly with you to that Heavenly home, a place where there is no pain and suffering and only sweet dreams come true... a place where all of God's children rest in eternal peace." It has broken our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone... For part of us went with you the day God called you home. Tears fill our eyes with good memories, some nearly forgotten, yet all dear to our heart. You were there for us in times of trouble and in times of thanks you stood by our side and held us up. Through your ever-patient ears to your comforting hugs you were there for us. You've left so many precious memories behind for us to cherish. However, we still feel your presence here with us when we hear the morning birds singing joyfully at sunrise... or see a butterfly dancing so carefully on a breeze. With every colorful rainbow and each beautiful sunset as the wind blows gently across our face. We will open our heart, reach into our soul, and know that you are with us. If Love alone could have saved you, you never would have gone. UNCLE DEWEY... WE LOVE AND WILL MISS YOU! Go rest high on that Heavenly mountain, Where all of God's children rest in eternal peace.
