Going east on Highway 72, pass Arnold's Truckstop, take next left onto Old Highway 20. Go approximately 3 miles and pass Glendale Cemetery which is on the left, and the Mayers Cemetery is at the top of the hill on the right about 30 feet from the road. It is in a grown up, patch of trees beside a long, gravel driveway. There are four large, flat tomb plates of which only three can be read. The fourth is buried underneath quite a bit of dirt with only one end sticking out of the ground. Sacred to the memory of James J Mayers who died August the 7th 1822 aged 50 years Sacred to the memory of Janetta P Mayers who was born May 16th 1807 & died Sept 1st 1826 aged 19 years 3 months Sacred to the memory of Susan Sarah Mayers who was born Sept 22, 1814 & died 1st of July 1823 aged 8 years, 9 months, 9 days
