McNees ================================================================================ November 2002 TOMPKINS-HYDE CEMETERY Colbert County, Alabama Note: This cemetery is located 3 miles south of Tuscumbia on the old Russellville Road, now Woodmont Drive, in Colbert County, which was at one time a part of Franklin Co, AL.. It is enclosed by a wrought iron fence and located in a pasture behind what used to be a small store. Harvey Robbins owns the property. Celia Catherine Tompkins b. 10 Jan 1849 d. 3 Jan 1901 (married Francis "Frank" Bullock who died CSA at Perryville, Kentucky, one child William Isbell Bullock) 4. Elizabeth Ann Tompkins (died age 2 ½) 5. John Lewis Tompkins b 16 Mar 1841 d. 15 Feb 1916 (married Lucy "Lutie" Martin Pride, was CSA Veteran, buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia, Colbert Co., AL, had eight children.) 6. Emmet Adna Tompkins (never married) 7. Lou Ann Tompkins b. 10 Jul 1846 d. 1880 (married John Cammack) 8. Eliza Ella Tompkins b. 28 Oct 1849 d. 16 Apr 1940 (married Henry Newsom, she and two sons buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia, AL) "Little Johnnie" is John Lewis Tompkins, Jr., infant son of John Lewis and Lutie Pride Tompkins, b. Sep, 1882. "Annie Messenger", d. age 2, is the daughter of William (b. 3 Feb. 1823) & Martha A. Hyde (Wm. is Henry Hyde's brother.)
