J. Campbell, who after first being by me duly sworn, does say upon oath as follows: My name is J. J. Campbell. I am 76 years of age and reside in Colbert County Alabama. I have been a resident of Colbert County all my natural life, and I bought the following property; Title in and to the following described property situated in Colbert County, Alabama; North ½ of the South ½ of SW ¼ of SW ¼ of Section 12, Township 5 South, Range 10 West From L. A. Roden on April 5, 1918, and I have continualy to pay taxes on this property until 1947. I cultivated this property and this said property was fenced and was known as my property during that period and was held out to this world to be my property. Mr. C. E. Carmichael, Jr., ask me how Rebecca Masterson had possession of this property an I explained how Rebecca Masterson was my daughter and she and her husband bought this property from me and they didn't pay for it. And they deeded the property back to me. During that period of time I continue to pay and to cultivate and build house on this property. From that period of April 5, 1918 until October 1, 1947. Rebecca Masterson never at any time had possession or cultivated or built house on this said property from April 5, 1918 until October 1, 1947 Rebecca Masterson never at any time had possession or cultivated this said land.
