AL The State of Alabama Colbert county Probate Court Special Term February 1, 1882 Present Hon. John A. Steele Judge. Thomas Crittenden decd Estate of Appointment of Administrator This date came James J. Whitlock and filed his petition in writing duly sworn to, alleging that Thomas Crittenden departed this life on the 27th day of October 1881 leaving property in this County to the value of about two hundred dollars and moves the court that he be appointed Administrator of the Estate of said Thomas Crittenden deceased. And it appearing to the court that more than forty days have elapsed since the death of said Thomas Crittenden and none of those entitled under the law to administer said estate, having applied for letters of administration, it is therefore ordered adjudged and decreed by the Court that James J. Whitlock be and he is hereby appointed administrator of the goods, chattels, lands and tenements of Thomas Crittenden deceased and that letters of administration issue to him as such, upon his giving bond and security as the law directs. The State of Alabama Colbert County Probate Court Letters of Administration on the Estate of Thomas Crittenden deceased are hereby granted to James J. Whitlock who has duly qualified and given bond as such and is hereby authorized to administer such estate. Dated this February 3rd 1882. John A. Steele Judge of Probate. Whitlock This day came James J. Whitlock administrator of said Estate and filed his statement, accounts, vouchers, and evidences for a final settlement of his administration: It is ordered that the 15th day of February 1883 be appointed a day on which to make such settlement at which time all persons interested can appear and contest the said settlement if they think proper. Ordered that due notice of the time and nature of this settlement be given by publication for three successive weeks in the Tuscumbia Democrat, a newspaper published in this county notifying all persons in interest to appear on said 15th day of February 1883 and contest said settlement if they think proper. Ordered that citations issue to and be personally served upon Mary A. Saint and her husband James Saint, Elizabeth Whitlock wife of J. J. Whitlock, Parmelia Adcock, Susannah Fisher and her husband Johnson Fisher, notifying them of the filing of said account and the day set for the bearing and passing upon the same. John A.
