For and in consideration of Three Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars, to us paid in hand by Lee A. Roden the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL and CONVEY unto the said, Lee A. Roden The following described property, to-witt; The North East 1/4 of the North West 1/4 of Section 11, The South East 1/4 of South West 1/4 of Section 2 & 2 acres in South West corner of the North West 1/4 of N. W. 1/4 of Section 11 all in Township 5 Range 10 West. Situated, lying and being in the County of Colbert, and State of Alabama; To HAVE and to HOLD the same unto the said Lee A. Roden, heirs and assigns forever. And we do for our selves and our heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Lee A. Roden, heirs and assigns, that we are lawfully seized in fee simple of said premises; that they are free from all encumbrance; and that we have a good right to sell and convey the said property; that we will and our heirs, executors and administrators shall excutors and assigns forever against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever. Spangler, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, in said State, hereby certity that James Fennel his wife Beckie Fennel whose names are signed to the foregoing conveyance, and who are known to me acknowledged before me, on this day, that being informed of the contents of this conveyance they executed the same voluntarily on the same bears date. Spangler, a Justice of the Peace in and for the State and County aforesaid hereby certity that on the 6th day of January 1903, came before me, the within name Beckie Fennel known to me to be the wife of within named James Fennel who, being examined separate and apart from her husband, touching her signature to the within convayance acknowledged that she signed the same of her own free will and accord, and without fear constraints or threats on the part of her husband.
