Born in Lauderdale county on Aug 27, 1869, he was the son of Due and Margaret Black and an active member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, the former Miss Emma Allen, Mr. Black is survived by four sons; Virgil Black, of Florence; Johnny Black, of Kerrville, Tenn; Elmer Black, also of Kerrville; Edward BLack of St. Joseph; three daughters, Mrs Wylie Eaton, Florence; Mrs. M.C. Tucker, Kerrville; and Mrs. Lester Hamilton also of Florence. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted... from the North Carolina Church ...burial will be in the cemetery of the East Florence Church of Christ in Florence...
