W. CAMPBELL IS TAKEN BY DEATH Funeral Service Will Be Conducted On Thursday James W. Campbell, aged 60, life-long resident of Florence, died at 6 o'clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marshall May, 1315 Wood Avenue, Florence, after an illness of the month. Born Nov. 29, 1883 in Lauderdale county, he spent his entire life in the county and was engaged in farming. Services and interment will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Pisgah cemetery with Rev. Sanderson, pastor of the Methodist church at Cloverdale, officiating, and Spry in charge. In addition to Mrs. May, he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Marvin Young and Mrs. Edwin Sharp, of Florence; one son, PFC. Ellis Campbell, overseas; one brother, Homer Campbell; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Mitchell, Mrs Josie Freeman, all of Florence and Mrs. Nennie Livingstone, Cloverdale, and three grandchildren.
