This file was contributed and copyrighted by: STEPHEN LEE ================================================================================ May 2003 Obituary of Horace Montgomery Andrews from The Evergreen Courant, Thursday, December 20, 1945 Pioneer Belleville Man Dies After Brief Illness The people of Belleville community and the entire county were saddened to learn of the passing of Horace Montgomery Andrews, age 89, at his home in Belleville Friday night at 11:45. Mr. Andrews had been in failing health for some time, but for one of his advanced years had remained unusually active. He was born and reared in Conecuh County in the same community where he died. He was loved and respected by a host of relatives and friends who sense a deep loss in his death. Funeral services were held from Belleville Baptist Church Sunday at 2 P.M. conducted by Rev. Higdon of Repton, Cope Funeral Home directing. Interment was in the Baptist Cemetery. He is survived by his widow; three sons, Clayton, Greenville, LeRoy, Hialeah, Fla., Gerald, Belleville; one daughter, Miss Willie Sue Andrews, Oklahoma City, and one sister, Mrs. F.P. Hines, Montgomery.
