W. H. ANDREWS When the death angel came and carried away the sweet spirit of Mrs. Sarah Jane Andrews, another one of God’s faithful servants was called to her reward. Too much cannot be said for Mrs. Andrews. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church, a true Christian of the highest type. One of her greatest pleasures was entertaining her pastor and also pastors of other denominations. She was never happier than when listening to the word of God when read by some pastor, friend or loved one. In her last illness she suffered greatly and realized the end was near. She was unafraid and humbly submissive to the will of God. Everything was done for her that tender hands and loving hearts could do. The efforts of the best physicians to be had, failed to heal her for her work on earth was done and the Master called her home. The end came at six twenty-five Saturday morning, April the eleventh. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Sunday morning, conducted by her pastor, Rev. M.R. Evans, assisted by Rev. C.O. Stewart and Rev. Cleve Ellis. The great throng that gathered at the grave and the many beautiful flowers that more than covered the casket, bore silent testimony of the high esteem in which Mrs. Andrews was held. She leaves besides her devoted husband, six sons and three daughters, forty five grand children, fifteen great grand children, four brothers and three sisters besides a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. May God bless and comfort all who loved her and miss her smiling face. May He lead each through this dark shadow and at last gather this large family unbroken around the throne of God.
