Gully from The Evergreen Courant, Wednesday, February 7, 1900 Death of Wm L. Gully Brother Wm L. Gully was born November 23, 1823 near Belleville. He united with the Baptist church when a young ma about 18 years old and lived a long consistent christian life. He was a deacon for quite a while. Some few years ago he moved his membership to Repton and died a member there on January 30, 1900. He was buried at Belleville on the following day. Bro. Gully is the last son of Henry Gully, a wealthy planter before the civil war. He leaves a wife (his second) six children and two sisters. It will be seen that Brother Gully was in his 77th year. In his las hours he expressed himself as being ready to meet his God. We can only bow in submission, saying "Thy will be done" and "Peace to his ashes." S. P. Lindsey
