Nored from The Evergreen Courant, Thursday, July 9, 1942 Beloved Repton Lady Dies At Age Of 95 Mrs. Susan H. Nored, age 95, widely known and much beloved lady of Repton, died at her home there Saturday night, July 4, at 11:30 after an illness of only a few days. Despite her advanced age, she had enjoyed very good health until the illness which caused her death. Mrs. Nored was before her marriage to William Nored, Miss Susan Andrews, member of a prominent pioneer family of Belleville. She lived at Belleville until after the death of her husband which occurred 39 years ago July 3, the day before her passing. Shortly after her husband died she moved to Repton where she had lived since. She not only lived a long life but a useful one, replete with kind deeds and helpful services to a multitude of relatives and friends among whom she was a favorite. Funeral services were held at Belleville Baptist Church Sunday at 4:30 P.M., conducted by Rev. Warren, with arrangements by Cope. Pall bearers were: Albert, Buster and Owen Gaston, Vernon Smith, E.H. Hines, and J.I. Andrews. She is survived by one brother, Horace Andrews, Belleville; two sisters, Mrs. Bettie Salter, Repton and Mrs. F.P. Hines, Montgomery.
