"Local and Personal
Mr. Culver, A True Disciple of Nimrod 
Andrew Culver, who lives in Flint Hill precinct is keeping up his
reputation as a true disciple of nimrod. The report has reached The
Chronicle office that he found seven raccoons up one tree a few days
since and succeeded in bagging them all.
In view of the present high price of corn and the raccoons' well
known capacity to destroy green corn, we are of the opinion that Mr.
Culver is proving himself a benefactor." (1)
