Funeral services were held at Sears Chapel Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. J. T. Fielding conducted the funeral services. Ellis is survived by a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Boyett, 5 brothers and two sisters. He was 35 years old and was a model young man and was loved by all who knew him. (1) (1) The Chronicle, 9 Sep 1921, p. 8. Note: Lovick Ellis Boyett (b. 3 Aug 1886 and d. 2 Sep 1921) is buried at Sears Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, located about a mile north of Rockford, Coosa Co., AL.
