H. Ford passed away last Wednesday night, Oct. 11th after a brief illness lasting four days. Apoplexy seems to have been the immediate cause of her death. The funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church, of which Mrs. Ford had been a member for nearly twenty years. Her remains were interred in the Goodwater cemetery to await the morning of the resurrection. Mrs. Ford had been an invalid for a number of years but her death came as a great surprise to all. She had been a Christian and a faithful member of the church for nearly twenty years, and therefore, those who mourn, mourn not for her but for themselves, knowing that their loss is her eternal gain. The sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended to the bereaved husband and friends." (1) (1) The Goodwater Enterprise, IN MEMORIAM, 20 Oct 1905, p. 5. Printed in Goodwater, Coosa Co., AL.
