T. Lessley, near here Mrs. Rosabelle Hammond quietly passed away on the 6th of January. She was, at the time of her death, 82 yeas and five months old. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. T. Ponder, and her body was laid to rest in the cemetery Unity Presbyterian Church of which she had been a member for nearly 50 years. She was a faithful lifelong Christian, having united with the church at a tender age of 9 years. No one took greater interest in church and Sunday school work than she - always yearning for the salvation of souls and the upbuilding of the church. ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.’ " (1) (1) The Chronicle, Weogufka, 2 Feb 1912, p. 5.
