"Local and Personal 
    We have just learned of the sad and untimely death of Miss Minnie 
Holman, the sixteen year old daughter of Bowling Holman, of Jordan's 
Beat, who committed suicide by taking poison last Saturday night. We 
have been unable to get full particulars of the sad affair." (1)

Note: Her mother, Martha Francis  Holman (b.10 Jan 1871 and d. 4 Febb 
1946) and her father, Bolyn B. Homan (b. 30 Dec 1862 and d. 2 Oct 1942)  
are buried in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL.  A 
headstone for Minnie has not been found.
