He leaves surviving his widow, two sons, John and Kelly Howard, two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Rogers and Mrs. Mollie Corley, all of whom reside in Coosa county, one granddaughter, Miss Amanda McDiarmid who lives in Lumberton, N. C., two brothers, James and Newt Howard, who live near Rockford, and a large number of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Howard (b. 17 Apr 1836 and d. 23 Jan 1910) is buried next to his wife Cassina M.
