(this letter was hard to read; may not have been an A.) R. King, died in Birmingham Tuesday, and his body was brought back to Coosa county and laid to rest at Flint Hill Wednesday. He leaves several children, many relatives and friends who are pained to hear of his death.” (1) (1) The Rockford Chronicle, 8 Mar 1923, p. 3. Printed in Rockford, Coosa Co., AL. Microfilm: Located in the Alabama Archives and History, Montgomery, AL. Researched by Ron Bridges on 12 Aug 2005. Additional Comments: Jim King is King, J. P. (Jan 18, 1851 Mar 05, 1928 Mason) who is buried beside his wife King, Mary Adeline (Jan 17, 1854 Nov 24, 1917 Wife of J. P. King) in Flint Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, located northwest of Rockford, past King's Bridge. When I transcribed said cemetery on 27 Nov 1999, I misread the death year of 1928. It should have been 1923.
