THE CHRONICLE
Killed by Accident
"Just as we are closing our forms for this issue, news reached this office 
that S. M. Suttle, an old and highly respected citizen of the county, was 
killed Wednesday at the residence of Grnest(1) Hatchett near Richville in 
this county. The report is that he was chopping wood and a piece broke off, 
struck him on the head producing almost instant death."(2)

AL) married Tabitha Antonett Sears (b. 4 Nov 1847 in Al & d. 9 Mar 1899 in 
Coosa Co., AL) 23 Sep 1879 in Coosa Co., AL. Before this marriage Tabitha 
married Guy Smith (b. about 1846 in AL & d. ? in ?) 2 May 1867 in Coosa Co., 
AL. Marriage Records, Bk. D, 1865-1878, p. 64; located in Coosa County 
Courthouse, Rockford, AL. Researched by Ron Bridges on 5 Mar 1998. Sinclair 
and Tabitha are buried in Sears Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co.,
AL.
