"MRS. ADA THOMAS WHITE SUCCUMBS JANUARY 24TH

    Mrs. Ada Thomas White, 35, years of age, who suffered a lingering
illness, died January 24th at a hospital in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral
services were held at Liberty Hill Cemetery Thursday, January 26th at 2
o’clock, with Elder D. L. Riley in charge of the service, Mathis-Jones
Funeral Home directing
    She had been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church about fifteen
years.
    She is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Thomas, three
sisters, four brothers, and one daughter, Berta Ruth White, who is now
making her home with her uncle, Mr. J. N. Suttles, of Tallassee." (1)

Ada was buried in the Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church
Cemetery, located 3 miles west of Rockford, off Highway #22.  On her
headstone:  Manda Ada Thomas White b. 20 May 1902 and d. (no date).
