M. Woodfin, near Salter, on 19th of this month, and was interred in the cemetery of Liberty Hill the following day. The funeral services were conducted by Eld. M. L. Additional Comments: On Easter Day of April 8, 1996, at the Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Gertrude Burk Woodfin (born 5 Jan 1906) informed me that John Cary Bridges made a promise to a woman, who was on her deathbed, not to marry. Her name was Mae D. Woodfin. He kept the promise. On May 21, 1997, Kirney Bridges told me that he had heard that story also. Mae Woodfin was born on 12 Dec 1884 and died on 19 May 1910. She is buried in the same cemetery as John Cary Bridges; Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Coosa Co., AL. John was born 6 Jan 1882 in Coosa Co., AL & died 9 Jun 1949 in Coosa Co., AL.
