Doc. 514, 23rd Cong., 1st sess., 1833-34. He resided in Coosa County, June 1, 1840, aged 73 - Census of Pensioners, 1841, p. 149. He was buried at Poplar Springs Church in that county. - D. B. Owen, (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co.), p. 288. Additional Comments: One source has his birth place as in Chesterfield Co., VA and his death date as 27 OCT 1850 in Coosa Co., AL. Some people I have spoken with said he is buried in the Old Poplar Springs Cemetery in the woods near an open field. I have been to that cemtery and it is hard to get there. There are a few headstones with several graves with no headstones. There was no headstone with his name on it.
