A. MARTHA DEC. 15, 1803 MAR. 31, 1810 MAY 21, 1885 JUNE 1, 1845 Additional Comments: H. Alexander Logan married Martha Ann Smith on 11 Aug 1825 in Decatur, Morgan Co., AL. "There were a few whites scattered in different parts of the (Coosa) county, living among the Indians (Creeks) before the organization of the county, but the names and locations of but few are known. Alexander and John Logan, brothers, lived among them, probably in the neighborhood of Hatchett Creek, above Rockford." (1) "On the west side of Hatchett Creek and north of Rockford is the region known as Hanover beat. The settler here who lived among the Indians were Alexander Logan and James Lindsey, father of W. M. Lindsey."(2) "Alexander Logan lived till a few years back in the lower part of the neighborhood, reaching a ripe age.
