Coosa County Marriage Records, 1889

Marriage License
State of Alabama --- Coosa County
To any licensed or Ordained Minister of the Gospel, Judge of the Circuit or 
Probate Courts, or Justice of the Peace for said County --- GREETING:

The representations to me are such that YOU ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED to celebrate 
the rite of Matrimony between S.J. Beaird and Ella Jones and this shall be your 
authority for so doing.

Given under my Hand and Seal, This the 20th day of Nov. 1889.

The above named parties were married by me, on the 21 day of Nov. 1889.

State of Alabama --- Coosa County.

Know all Men by these Presents, that we S.J. Beaird and W.T Daniel are held and 
firmly bound unto the STATE OF ALABAMA, in the sum of TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, for 
which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our and 
each of our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, jointly, severally 
and firmly, by these presents.

Sealed with our seals, and dated this 20th day of Nov. 1889

The Condition of the above Obligation is such, that if there be no lawful cause 
to obstruct the marriage of S.J. Beaird and Ella Jones to whom License has this 
day been granted, then to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.

Additional Comments:
SJ Beaird (Samuel Jesse) was the son of James Henry Beaird.  Ella Bethany Jones 
was the daughter of Thomas Bloomfield Jones and Mary Anne Francis Teel.
