Transcribed from a letter in my possession. Written to Mrs. Elizabeth Moses 
Bridges in Senoia, Ga.......

Sanford, Ala

March 7, 1905

Dear Mother,

I received your welcome letter in due time, was glad to hear from you. We are 
all up but have very bad colds, and have had some time.

Mr. Jones has been out of bed nearly a month but does not improve much, he has 
been in Bainbridge, Ga. under a Dr. for two weeks, I had a letter last night 
said he was not doing well at all. Thursday, will be 14 weeks he has fever. 
Well I have not news to write we have had a severe winter have not planted any 
garden yet. Haven’t any little chickens. Ma you ought to see my baby she is the 
fattest little thing her name is Mabel. Johnnie is a great big boy now. He has 
the ear ache tonight and I don’t know what to make of it, he never had it 
before.

I saw in the paper Ben was married. If he had any conscience he would send me 
that little money he got over five years ago. If we ever did need it, it is now 
for Mr. Jones has not worked since the first of Dec. His Dr. bill hear is a way 
over a hundred dollars, don’t have any idea what it will be in Bainbridge nor 
when he will ever go to work. Of course it is not but $10, but that and the 
interest for 5 1/2 years would be a great help to me. But I never expect to ask 
him for it any more. I wrote to him twice since he got it and he would not even 
answer my letter. We had a letter from Lona sometime ago telling us Dora was 
married. Well I will close for this time. Write soon and give my love to all. 
Excuse writing for I can do much for Johnnie taking on so with his ear.
