EMMA CARPENTER CRESTVIEW- Mrs. Emma carpenter, 66 298 S. Savage St. died at 6 a.m. Sunday in a local hospital. Born in Covington County, Alabama, Mrs. Carpenter had been a resident of Okaloosa County the last 27 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. in the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church in Baker. The Revs. C.S. Henderson and J.W. Dubose will officiate. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. The body will remain at home until time of funeral services. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Brown of Baker, Mrs. Eunice Mapier of Crestview, Mrs. Myrtle Lee Hay of Crestview, Mrs. Icey Rogers of Jacksonville; three sons, J.W. Carpenter of Baker, Woodrow W. Carpenter of Crestview and Cecil G. Carpenter of Baycliff, Tex; three sisters Mrs. Laurel Brantley of Crestview, Mrs. Annie Amerson of Ga., and Mrs. Francis Langford of Baker; two brothers, Louis Taylor of Baker, and Sandford Taylor of Gantt, Ala; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
