It looks closer to being Hiram’s name than any other of the siblings; and I don’t know of a sister-in-law with such name. Sworn to in open Court 5th June 1835 Seaborn Kelly (signature) John Varner Clk (signature) Amount in Land on last settlement $396.25 court charges and other expenses 57.37½ bal. to be divided $338.87½ 5th June 1835 [judge approved] FINAL SETTLEMENT OF GRANT KELLY’S ESTATE Lowndes County, Alabama Orphans Court June 5, 1835 Seaborn Kelley, Administrator of the Estate of Grant Kelley Dec’d having reported to the Court that he had fully administered the said Estate and that he is now ready to make distribution of the same among the several heirs, a distribution of said deceased and notice having been previously given, the Court proceeded to audit and make a final settlement of said Estate with the said Administrator, and it appearing to the Court that the amount for division in the hands of the Administrator is three hundred and thirty eight dollars eighty seven and a half cents, and that there is the widow & relic of the said dec’d, now Rachel Howard formerly Rachel Kelly, having since the death of the said Grant Kelley intermarried with one James Howard, & five children all minors under the age of twenty one years, to wit, Ollive Kelley, Jackson Kelley, Sarah Kelley, Jane Kelley, & Tire Kelley, and that of the sum now in the hands of the Administrator for division the said James Howard in right of his wife Rachel Howard formerly Rachel Kelley, widow and relic of said dec’d is entitled to the one fifth part which will amount to the sum of sixty seven dollars seventy seven cents, leaving in the hands of the Administrator the sum of two hundred & seventy one dollars and one half cents, which divided again into five equal parts will make the share of each of the said five minor heirs the sum of fifty four dollars and twenty two cents a share. It is therefore ordered by the Court that the Administrator pay ____ forthwith to James Howard in right of his wife Rachel Howard formerly Rachel Kelley the sum of sixty seven dollars and seventy seven cents which shall be in full of his distributive share of the Estate of Grant Kelley, Dec’d. It is ordered by the Court that the Administrator pay over to the Guardian of Ollive Kelley a minor heir of Grant Kelley deceased the sum of fifty four dollars and twenty two cents which shall be in full of her distributive share of said estate. It is ordered by the Court that the Administrator pay over to the Guardian of Jackson Kelley a minor heir of Grant Kelley deceased the sum of fifty four dollars & twenty two cents which shall be in full of his distributive share of said Estate. It is ordered by the Court that the Administrator pay over to the Guardian of Sarah Kelley a minor heir of Grant Kelley deceased the sum of fifty four dollars & twenty two cents, which shall be in full her distributive share of said Estate. It is ordered by the Court that the Administrator pay over to the Guardian of Jane Kelley a minor heir of Grant Kelley deceased the sum of fifty four dollars & twenty two cents, which shall be in full of her distributive share of said Estate.
