FRANCIS ELIZABETH VANN PASSES SUDDENLY Mrs. Francis Elizabeth Vann (Miss Francis E. Bush) who was born November 14th, 1857, passed from this life Saturday evening at 6:30, at the home of her son. She was sitting on the front porch of the house, and when she felt the end coming, she got up and walked about 10 feet and fell. The end was sudden as she never spoke after falling. As the sun was sinking in the western horizon, the sun of her beautiful, Christian life ceased to shine in the home of her family. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Siloam where interment will be had, and was the wife of W. J. Vann who preceded her to the grave 29 years ago. She also had two daughters, Mrs. Quillin Lee and Miss Francis Vann who went before her to the grave. Mrs. Vann is survived by the following children: C. F. Vann, J. W. Vann, H. S. Vann and J. T. Vann all of Luverne, Ala., Route 4 and one daughter, Mrs. L. J. Strickland, St. Petersburg, Fla. Funeral services were held at the church at Siloam Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock with Dr. R. Z. Mullins of the Rutledge Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed with Turner Bros. in charge.
