CONTINUE NORTH ON 69 APPROX. 25 MILES TO ARAB, AL. TURN RIGHT (SOUTH) ON US HWY. 231. GO APPROX. 5 MILES AND TURN RIGHT (WEST) ON WARRIOR CREEEK ROAD. THIS ROAD IS JUST PAST THE STRAWBERRY BRIDGE AND THE BRIDGE IS ON THE BLOUNT COUNTY LINE. GO .25 MILE AND THE CHURCH IS ON THE RIGHT (NORTH) SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH THE CEMETERY IN BACK. YOU ARE NOW BACK IN CULLMAN COUNTY AT THE VERY SOUTHEASTERN END. I DID THE LAYOUT FOR THIS CEMETERY IN ROWS. THE ROWS START ON THE EAST SIDE AND CONTINUE NUMERICALLY TO THE WEST. THE GRAVES ARE NUMBERED IN ORDER STARTING CLOSEST TO THE CHURCH AND GOING NORTH. THERE ARE GRAVES THAT HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN. VANDALS DESTROYED MOST OF THE CEMETERY ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO. ONLY CONCRETE BLOCKS MARK MOST OF THE GRAVE SITES. ONLY A FEW TOMBSTONES WERE SPARED FROM THIS HORRIBLE DEED. IF ANYONE HAS INFORMATION, OR CORRECTIONS ON ANY OF THESE, YOU MAY EMAIL ME AT THE ADDRESS ABOVE. CORRECTIONS WILL BE ADDED AT A LATER TIME AS FOOTNOTES TO THIS PAGE. UPDATES WILL BE ADDED AS NECESSARY AND TIME ALLOWING. THANK YOU, MELINDA L. We have an ancestor who was the first one buried in that cemetery back in Jan. 1874. His name was Wiley L. Roberts and he was buried at the foot of the large oak tree (best I can describe location is as you would park in front of the church and look to your right about 2 oçlock. All that remains there now is a flat weathered stone by the large tree. This land originally belonged to Wiley Louis Roberts from about 1860 til his death. ++++Charlene Roberts+++ ******************************************** Williams, d- 1860 "...her son laying by her side" (apparently this is the sons grave by the rest of the broken words on this marker) Row 3- Haynes, Jeremy Dean, b- 10/1/1978 d- 1/9/1979 Drinkard, Clarence H., b- 6/15/1912 d- 8/26/1963 "Al PFC US ARMY WWII" 1 unmarked grave Large space that is unmarked Row 4- 2 unmarked graves Row 5- 1 unmarked grave Large space that is unmarked 3 unmarked graves Row 6- 5 unmarked graves Large space that is unmarked Row 7- 2 unmarked graves Large space that is unmarked Callaway, Eva Mae, b- 1916 d- 1943 Hamby, Katheryn, b- 1932 d- 1933 same headstone Hamby, Rosanna, b- 1888 d- 1933 Hamby, Steve J., b- 1881 d- 1955 Row 8- 2 unmarked graves Hughes, Ruth A., b- 12/6/1871 d- 7/30/1873 "daughter of GC & ME Hughes" "The lovely flower has faded" Hughes, Gabriel R.
