Funeral services were held Sunday at the New Canaan Methodist Church by the Rev. George Helms. Burial was in the New Canaan Cemetery directed by Gober Funeral Home. Mrs. LeCroy was born in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Bud and Clementine Phillips Watwood. She had lived in the Rice Community for the last 17 years, having moved there from New Canaan. She was married 59 years ago to F. B. LeCroy. Mrs. LeCroy is survived by her husband; a son, Verdel LeCroy of Arab 3; six daughters, Mrs. Eula Hallmark of Detroit, Mrs. Willie Mae Walker of Arab, Mrs. Lena Goble of Cullman 3, Mrs. Pessie Berry of Lake Wales, Fla., Mrs. Essie Freeland of Arab 3, and Mrs. Stella Martin of Cullman 7; three brothers, Huey Watwood and Will Watwood, both of Arab 2 and Odis Watwood of Joppa; a sister, Mrs. Clara Holoway of Arab 2; 28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Kirby Freeland, Ray LeCroy, Talmage Goble, Kenneth Walker, Harold Martin and Hubert Hallmark. Flower girls were Florence Martin, Edith Pearce, Dalphine Pearce, Melba Brown, Virginia Smith, Margie Hyatt, Jean Freeland, Gail East, Linda Freeland, Brenda Freeland, Carolyn Freeland, Shelly Jean Martin, Shella Martin, Helen Berry, Dianne LeCroy, Debra Hallmark, Reba Hallmark, Norma Pearce and Rosemary Pearce.
