J. M. Rodgers Dies
   J. M. Rodgers, 84, died on September 15 and Funeral services were 
held at Sardis on Saturday with Rev. Carl Johnson officiating and 
Moss Service directing interment.
   Mr. Rodgers and his wife, who survives him, would have soon 
celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. They have lived at the 
same place on Rt. 6 Cullman for over 50 years.
   In addition to his widow, Mr. Rodgers is only survived by one of
his six children, Mrs. Addie Sinyard, as well as 7 grandchildren, 
11 great grandchildren; one brother, John Rodgers of California and
two sisters, Mrs. Helen Franks of Fulton, Miss. And Mrs. Rena 
Thrasher of Arkansas.
