Lee and wife Sophronia E. Lee for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) in hand to us paid by Cornilius V. Atkinson, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, do hereby sell unto the said Cornilius V. Atkinson, his heirs and assigns, the following lands to-wit: the NW 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Section 25 Township 5 Range 24, containing forty (40) acres, more or less, to have and to hold the said premises to him and his heirs for ever, we do hereby warrant and defend the right to the above named lands to the said Atkinson, his heirs and assigns in witness whereof we have hereunto affixed our hands and seals this the 21st day of August A. Lee, a subscribing witness to the foregoing conveyance and who is known to me, appeared before me on this day and being duly sworn, stated that John T. Lee and Sophronia Lee, the grantors in the conveyance voluntarily executed the same in his presence and in the presence of the other subscribing witness on the day the same bears date. That he attested the same in the presence of the grantors and of the other subscribing witnesses and that such other witness subscribed his name as a witness in his presence.
