Wednesday morning, March 18, 1885 Page One Correspondence From Roeton Mr. S.L. Weed arrived at his father’s Saturday. He had been attending the Medical College at Mobile. A physician is needed in this community and we hope he will be the right man in the right place. Mr. J.J. Dean is getting along very well with his broken leg; was able to sit up a little last Wednesday. The young folks, who were not at Mr. J.C. Barnes’ last Thursday night missed a treat. The occasion was made lively by the string band and also lovely by a “band” of young ladies.
