PVT. WILLIAM J. ENGLISH SPENDS FURLOUGH HERE Pvt. William J. English has been spending a few days at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. English, Ozark route one. Pvt. English is with the Air Corps, stationed at Savannah, Oa.. He completed his training at Ft. Myers, Fla., and received his Wings as Aerial Gunner and was sent to Savannah for overseas duty, but failed to pass the physical examination and was placed with the ground crew, and a few days before his unit sailed he was in a wreck and suffered a fractured neck and has been confined to the hospital for the past seven months. He is now much improved and feeling fine and has returned to his station. He has been in the service for two years. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ OS JOHN E. ENGLISH REPORTS TO NEW ORLEANS OS John Edwin English, US Merchants Marine, stationed in New York, has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. English on route one.
