Hon. John W. Dowling

We learn from the Montgomery Advertiser, that Dale’s worthy Representative has
been made chairman of the committee on Accounts and Claims, and given a place on
the “Ways and Means” and “Privileges and Elections” Committees.  Capt. Dowling
is known to be a careful and successful merchant and will guard well the
interests of the people of Alabama.
