This trip was sponsored by the Ozark Kiwanis Club and made possible by gift of a bus to the Scout Troup by Mr. Sam J. Carroll, Ozark merchant. Accompanying the boys of this trip was Scoutmaster, Harry N. Mixon. The Ozark Scouts plan to go from Ozark to San Francisco, California over what is known as the Southern route, via New Orleans, La., Shreveport, La.,Dallas, Texas, on to Fort Worth, Texas and then to El Paso,Texas. At El Paso the troop will spend several days going down into Old Mexico to Juarez, thenback to El Paso and up to Carls bad, New Mexico to see the caverns, then back to El Paso and from there to Williams, Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. Then on to Los Angeles. From Los Angeles to San Francisco. The return trip home will be made via Salt Lake City, Yellow Stone Park, Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, Birmingham, Montgomery and back to Ozark. It will take the boys from four to five weeks to make the trip The following boys are on the trip: Henry Clouse, Gene Clouse, Jimmy Dunn, Oscar Dunn, Taylor Thomas, Rutledge Smith,Wilmer Parker, Wood Lett, Jimmy Sollie, Locke Redd, Glyn Strickland, A. Helms, John Speight, Baker Gamble, James Carroll, Martin Price, Glenn Price, Major Mills, Arnie Glover, Jr., Noel Andrews, Jr., Roysce Smith, William Garner, Emerson Valentine, Harry N.
