Wednesday morning, January 7, 1885 Page Three Skipperville Items The patrons of the Skipperville school and the citizens of the community speak of trying to secure the services of Prof. Scott, of Clopton, as principal of said school. We are truly in hopes they may be successful. Dr James Reynolds is attending the Medical College at Mobile. Mr. Godfrey will make a bid on the building of a new courthouse at Ozark. We have confidence in Mr. G’s ability to please the people of Dale with a good courthouse should he be awarded the contract. Preparations for the building of our new Presbyterian church make haste slowly on account of the scarcity of money.
