B. Andrews, left its earthly home to dwell with God forever. His remains was laid to rest at New Ochlocknee church at Beachton, Grady county, Ga. This funeral was preached by his pastor, M. A. Wilson. Brother Andrews has been a faithful member of the Missionary Baptist church for over fifty years. He served the church as deacon for a number of years, with heart and hand open to every call of the church or any of its members. While we miss his presence and his amiable life and walk in our midst, we are conscious that his works still live and follow him and will yet more and more be a blessing to New Ochlocknee church, therefore we sorrow not as those without hope, but confidently look forward to the time when we shall meet him in the Glory World Brother Andrews was born Jan. 12th, 1839, near Ozark, Ala., where he lived until he was grown, then he was married to Miss Demories J. Caraway. God blessed them with several children, those living are, J. T. Andrews, Cairo, Ga.; Mrs. T. F. Joiner, Dothan, Ala.; Mrs. M. A. Sholar, Climax, Ga., and Mrs. Eliza Castlebery, Beachton, Ga. Brother Andrews moved to Thomas county, near Beachton, now Grady county, in 1877. His first wife died in a few years after he moved to Georgia. Then he was married to Miss Joanna Bowman who died a few months ago. God blessed this union with one son, L. B. Andrews, Beachton, Ga. His children were all with him to the end. Mr. J. L. Andrews and Mr. L. B. Andrews, his only sons living, were faithful to the last; remained by his bedside for two and three weeks, doing all they could with the assistance of his daughters and daughters-in-law and friends and neighbors. A faithful one from us has gone. A voice we loved is still, A place is vacant in the church, Which never can be filled. Dear brother we would not ask thee stay To grapple in a sorrowing world like this; When holy angels have borne the way, To share with eternal bliss. --His pastor, M. A.
