Clopton, Ala., April 2, 1885

Mrs. Elmore, an aged lady living near this place, died a few days since, and was
buried in the cemetery at this place.  The funeral service, which was conducted
by Prof. Scott, was very solemn and impressive and made impressions on the
writer’s mind that will forever last.
