Gus Dowling Dies In Washington Monday Morning Angus Gabriel Dowling ,age 39 former Ozarkian, died suddenly Monday morning at his residence in Washington, D. C. Mr. Dowling was born and reared in Ozark, the youngest son of the late Mr .and Mrs. Horace 0. Dowling. He left here with his parents, some twenty years ago to make his home in Winston-Salem, N. C. He had been living In Washington for the past few years. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the S. H. Hines Funeral Home in Washington and interment was in that city. Survivins; are his widow, Alma Goft Dowling, stepmother, Mrs. H.0. Dowling, four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Dowling Kelley, Mrs. Helen McChesney and Miss Jeanette Dowling, all of Washington. D. C.. and Mrs. Carolyn Hyle, of New York, N. Y., one brother, Horace O'Neil Dowling, of Boone, N. C., and a number of relatives in Ozark, including his aunts, Mrs. J. D. Holman and Mrs. H. C. Dowling.
